Old school marketing is NEW again
If you are on Active Rain, you clearly understand that having an on-line presence is very important to the success of your business. In a recent article posted on Inman news, many agents are finding that "Old School Marketing" is new again and it works. Read the article here….It's a good one!
One of the agents quoted in the article, says she mailed out only 200 postcards after getting a condo listing and
recieved three immediate phone calls, all three were SOLID LEADS. The article also notes that not everyone has email and Internet. I'm sure we can all think of a few people who aren't checking their email daily like we do or have a Black Berry or Iphone attached at the hip. Some people just aren't tech saavy, especially those who have jobs that aren't reliant on having access to the Internet.
People are innundated with email and online marketing, which is why many agents are finding that the old "real estate marketing postcards" are doing the trick to keep their pipelines full of business. I, myself have what I call my "junk email account" that I used soley for the purpose of registering for things that may end up in my being on "a list" of some kind.
With many Realtors struggling financially to fund the marketing their real estate businesses, the competition at the mail box is slim. How many real estate marketing postcards have you received in your mail box lately? I am betting, not many. One way to keep costs down with "offline marketing" is to walk your farm vs. mailing to it. Having door hangers printed is very cost effective, greets people at their front door and saves on postage.
Printerbees has a nice selection of AFFORDABLE real estate marketing postcards to help you with Short Sale Marketing, Just Solds, Just Listed, Monthly Postcards for your sphere, and farming postcards that help with name recognition, brand awareness and top of mind awareness.
There is no good predictor of exactly when someone will decide it is time to move, but making sure you are one of the two poeple who come to mind is dependent on how consistent you are at getting your name in front of them.
