Past clients and The Holidays

Keeping with the spirit of staying in touch with your past clients, The Holidays are yet another opportunity to make sure you let your clients know you are thinking of and appreciate them.  Who doesn't love getting holiday cards in the mail?  Who doesn't love the opportunity to know someone was thinking of them?

So, what is the proper etiquette when it comes to mailing out your Holiday Cards?  I am a firm believer in handwriting your envelopes and personally signing your cards.  What does it mean to you when you receive a holiday card from your insurance agent…with a mailing label on it….and the signature was printed on it by "the printer"?  Heck, they may as well as sent them out bulk mail too, just to keep with the theme of being impersonal!  I know, I am on my soap box here, but "really!" can we at least take the time to address our holiday cards by hand so that the people receiving them KNOW we took the time simply because they matter enough to do so?  With the economy the way it is right now, aren't our clients even more important to us?  Don't we all value our clients just a bit more than we did before, simply because they are harder to come by these days?

I really encourage you to use this time of year as an opportunity to make sure your clients know how important they are to you and your business.  Without your clients, where exactly would your business "bee"?

Happy Holidays,
