Past Client Marketing
I recently wrote about marketing to past clients and making sure to keep in touch with them. One of our many clients who actually took our advice is having great success with mailing postcards to his past clients. This client is an Auto Repair Shop in Pleasanton and is really working at increasing business and more importantly repeat business. After all, people MUST get their vehicles serviced regularly….right.
With that in mind, we came up with a fantastic marketing plan that is much like the approach that dentists take with their patients. Just like your dentist sends you a friendly reminder that you haven't gotten your teeth cleaned in awhile…the same holds true for Automotive Maintenence. A friendly reminder that it has most likely been 3000 miles since your last oil change WILL increase your repeat business.
My client simply sends out about 15-20 postcards per day to his past clients who are most likely due for an oil change and they are getting GREAT RESULTS with it. Need I say more? Keep in touch with your past clients, people are busy and sometimes need a little "nudge" or reminder…and most likely appreciate it.
